Atiyyah is a plant scientist with an extensive background in regulated industries. After completing her Master of Science in genetic engineering and plant biotechnology at Western University, she began working at the Research and Development Centre of one of the largest Canadian food companies. During her role, she gained experience in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and product development in GMP and HACCP-certified facilities.

Atiyyah transitioned into the cannabis industry in 2018. As a Tissue Culture Lab Manager, she helped develop cannabis tissue culture protocols and successfully introduced tissue culture clones into the production environment. She then went on to become the Director of Business Development and Operations Specialist at a 1.3 million sq ft commercial cannabis greenhouse in Ontario, Canada, further honing her skills in cultivation and post-harvest processing.

Atiyyah is passionate about cannabis quality assurance and the establishment of a global cannabis supply chain. She is a Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional (CPGP), a trained GMP pharmaceutical quality management system auditor, and a Cannabis Authenticity and Purity Standard (CAPS) certified consultant. She is currently working with clients across three continents on obtaining their relevant GMP certifications.

In her spare time, Atiyyah enjoys sharing her insights with the cannabis community and she is a frequent speaker at cannabis conferences. Atiyyah is also an instructor and course content developer for the cannabis management program at the Academy of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences in Toronto, Canada.
